MAC-CHEESE 

 
 Instructions: 

SIDE NOTE: To simplify things for you, try completing each task one at a time to avoid any confusion.

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce:
    • In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
    • Gradually pour in the milk, whisking continuously until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken (about 3-5 minutes).
    • Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Combine:
    • Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated.
  4. Optional Baking:
    • If you prefer a baked mac and cheese, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese to a greased baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
